OFFICE MEMORANDUM / TRANSPARENCY

Privacy & Drafts

What this pre-launch website does, what it does not do, and why a witness deserves control over their own story.

PUBLIC PRIVACY NOTICE / PROTOTYPE EDITION
Current website behavior

Your story stays
yours.

This is an offline-capable static design prototype. It does not offer live subscriptions, accounts, payments, or witness intake.

Witness worksheet: Information typed into the worksheet stays in your browser and can be downloaded to your device as a text file. It is not uploaded to the Bureau, not emailed, and not stored by this site.

What information do we collect?

This prototype has no analytics scripts, tracking cookies, backend database, email list, or user registration service. We do not collect or receive information entered in the witness worksheet.

What happens when I visit an external platform?

Links to platforms such as YouTube or TikTok lead to third-party sites that operate under their own privacy terms. Their practices are outside the control of this prototype.

Will this change when the Bureau launches?

Probably, if we add newsletter subscriptions, episode hosting, visitor analytics, or a secure way to submit encounters. Before doing so, we will update this page and describe the collection, storage, consent, and contact arrangements. This page is a prototype notice, not a substitute for a final policy.

How will witness publication consent work?

Sharing a story will not automatically give permission to publish it, use your real name, or identify a private property. We intend to seek specific consent before use, including permission for excerpts or recorded audio, and allow corrections where practical.

Website copy & privacy notes are subject to review before a public release. Last design update: November 2026.
